    PROGRAM SYNOPSES


    This program aims to produce competent graduates in applied microbiology who have an advanced knowledge on microbial technology, molecular microbiology and microbial metabolisms and processes. It provides an advance laboratory training in applied microbiology disciplines. In addition, this program offers an opportunity to the students to develop their scientific writing and presentation skills through dissertation and seminars that will be conducted at the end of the course. Students graduated from this program will have the potential to become an expert workforce in industrial microbiology and biotechnology related field and contribute significantly to the nation. Moreover through this program, it will open the door for the graduates to further their studies at the Doctoral (PhD) level later if they are interested to do so.

    MODE OF PROGRAMME


    Methods of teaching include lectures, laboratory practicals, problem based learning, case study discussion, mini project, industrial visit, seminar and dissertation project.

    ENTRY REQUIREMENTS


    Fulfills the general entry requirement for UiTM

           AND

    A Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Microbiology and related fields from UiTM or any institution Of higher learning approved by the UiTM Senate with a mínimum CGPA of 2.75

           OR

    A Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Microbiology and related fields from UiTM or any institution of higher learning approved by the UiTM Senate with a mínimum CGPA of 2.5 with working experience of more than 2 years
